“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
-Henry de Bracton
Synopsis: Sex education is more than just telling students “no” — The Speak Life Prevention of Teen Pregnancy and STIs program highlights the dangers of early sexual involvement and possible consequences. This program requires parental consent before a student can participate. Led by Speak Life staff, the prevention program discusses the influence media has on sex, what a healthy relationship consists of, and abstinence. Students are given the tools they need to make well-informed decisions about their life and will learn how teen pregnancy and STIs can affect their future.
